The application works in hidden mode and cannot be viewed in the device, To launch / customize this application one has to press pre defined short keys and password.
After installing MSM in the device one must add “Reporting contact” in the application. Reporting contact can be your second number/friends number or any other mobile number on which you want to receive all the reports.

Here is brief description of how it works:
When the Maverick Secure Mobile application is installed to your phone, it will ask you to register a second cell number. This second phone will be used as a REPORTING PHONE.
If you have left your phone somewhere in a restaurant or simply lost it, simply send an SMS to your lost phone from the Reporting Phone with the message “ACTIVATE.” A message will appear on the screen of your missing phone with your name, contact number and the reward that you are offering for its safe return.
Let’s now assume that your phone has indeed been stolen. The moment another SIM-card is inserted into the cellphone, a SIM-card not recognized by the Maverick Secure Mobile software, the application will immediately encrypt all your data and information. This means that the thief cannot access your personal data or your records (like PIN numbers, account details, and contacts list), information that could be used against you, your family, your colleagues... basically anyone that is in your contact book.
After the data has been encrypted, an SMS is automatically sent to the Reporting Phone with all the new SIM-card’s details. And if the phone is GPRS enabled, it will also tell you the location of the stolen mobile.
From that moment, any calls received or dialed, as well as SMS’s sent from your stolen phone, will automatically be forwarded to your reporting phone. You will be able to see who the thief is in contact with at all times.
So, your data is protected from the thief, but now you want to get it back. How do you do that? Again, simply send an SMS from the Reporting Phone to the stolen mobile with the text “CONTACT = ALL”... as soon as the device receives this SMS, it begins to send your data either to your reporting phone, or to the Maverick Secure Mobile website where it will be stored for your retrieval.
The best part about this is that it is done using the thief’s own airtime! In other words, he literally ends up paying for his crime!
Very importantly, at no time will the thief be aware of what you are doing. The SMS commands sent to the stolen mobile are never displayed and the application runs secretly in the background.
At this point, you have two options open to you: First, you can hand all the information over to the police and have them retrieve your stolen phone and arrest the thief.
If for some reason this option is not available to you, the second option is most satisfying!
From your Reporting Phone, send an SMS with the text “HANG”... this immediately renders the phone useless AND activates a piercing siren through the loudspeaker on the stolen device, along with an onscreen image saying “Stolen Phone!”
The only way to turn off the alarm is to remove the battery. But the moment the battery is replaced and the phone switched on again, the siren continues. If you are a particularly vindictive individual, I might recommend doing this at 3 in the morning when the disoriented thief is least expecting to have a siren wailing loudly at him.
Only the rightful owner can disable the alarm by entering a secret code directly into the stolen handset. This will also restore the phone’s full functions.
